Services
We Offer at Spinal Decompression Clinics of Minnesota
Our
clinics are fully equipped to address your health needs.
Our doctors and staff are dedicated to educating patients and to promoting
health and well-being through spinal decompression and other non-invasive
services, without the use of drugs or surgery. Our doctors conduct
a comprehensive physical and if necessary, x-ray examination to assess your condition.
A recent MRI (within 16 months) is required to determine if you are a
candidate for our DRX9000™ Spinal Decompression program.
Some of the services that may benefit you include:
DRX9000™ Spinal Decompression for Low Back Pain
The DRX9000 Spinal Decompression program uses the latest technology designed
to treat patients with lumbar disc bulges or herniation, degenerative
disc disease and/or sciatica. Our equipment is FDA approved and our
clinics are one of the first to offer this therapy in Minnesota. Learn
more about the DRX9000 Spinal Decompression program for low back pain.
DRX9000C™ Spinal Decompression for Neck Pain
The DRX9000C is the only FDA-approved cervical (neck) decompression system available. The DRX9000C is for the treatment of neck and shoulder/arm pain.Learn

Electrical Muscle Stimulation
Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) may be used before and/or after a treatment
to reduce the swelling in joints and tissues, to reduce pain, to reduce
muscle spasm and to increase circulation to the injured joints and
tissues. Increasing circulation delivers more nutrients to the injured areas to
help promote healing of the tissues. You are usually on this therapy
for about 15 minutes.
Spinal Manipulation
Improperly positioned vertebrae can cause irritation to the spinal nerves
that exit between two vertebrae. Irritation or pinching of these nerves
results in pain, numbness, tingling, weakness and/or abnormal organ function.
Our doctors correct this improper spinal position using a treatment called
spinal manipulation. Spinal manipulation involves a gentle,
hands-on thrust applied
in a specific direction to restore normal motion and position of
the vertebrae. Often a popping sound, called cavitation occurs.
This is nothing more than gas escaping from the joint, similar to opening
a soft drink and releasing the pressure from carbonation. Adjustments are
usually painless
and patients often feel instant relief.
Intersegmental Traction
Intersegmental traction is used to circulate fluids around the joints
and to restore necessary motion to the spine. This is achieved
by having the patient lie face up on a roller table. These rollers
travel the length of the spine causing a gentle, relaxing stretch of
the spinal joints.
Ultrasound Therapy
Ultrasound therapy channels sound waves through muscle, nerve, bone and connective
tissue and has been documented to aid in reducing pain, muscle spasms
and joint fixations. You may feel a gentle warming sensation where
the therapy is applied.
Massage – Trigger Point Therapy
We utilize a specific type of soft tissue massage known as Trigger
Point Therapy. A trigger point is an area of tight muscle
which causes tenderness and impaired muscle function. The tight muscle
bands or nodules are compressed with sustained pressure which relaxes
them. Trigger point therapy reduces muscle spasm which helps
restore normal range of motion and promote faster healing.
Orthopedic Supports
We provide a variety of orthopedic supports and braces in order to help protect
and stabilize injured areas.
Nutritional Counseling
We offer access to high quality professional grade vitamins and minerals
that will best promote healing and improve overall health. We
also provide information regarding dietary habits and lifestyle choices.
Insurance and Financing
Most of these services are covered by insurance. Our office manager can
assist you with any insurance questions. We also accept Visa and MasterCard
and will work out payment plans for costs not covered by insurance.
Similar to LASIK procedures that have helped thousands of people to see
without glasses, DRX9000 Spinal Decompression is not yet covered in Minnesota
by Medicare, Medicaid, MinnesotaCare or the HMOs (Blue Cross/Blue Shield
of Minnesota, Medica, HealthPartners, PreferredOne).
We provide several financing options for you. If you have a flexible spending
or HSA account, you may use it to pay for this program. You may pay with your
Visa or MasterCard, or we can provide you with CareCredit interest-free or
extended payment plans so you may start your DRX9000 treatments today
for less than $100 per month.
